Puron ® Replaces R-22 Note: Suva® 410A, Puron®, and AZ-20 are all

R-410A and can be used interchangeably.

It is a long-term HFC replacement for R-22 in positive displacement residential and commercial air-conditioning equipment.

R410A can be used interchangeably where Puron® and AZ-20 may be specified.

It is a higher-pressure refrigerant than R-22 and should only be used in equipment specifically designed for R-410A.

Can be repeatedly topped off, leak after leMay 3, 2008 in Vegas,

We normally run a 300# head pressure in the summer. According to my calculations, that could be a 450 to 510

head pressure.

Question - Can R-410A be used to retrofit existing R-22 equipment?

Answer - NO! Because of the much higher discharge pressure and cooling capacity, R-410A should ONLY be used in equipment designed for it.

Because of higher pressure, most system components have been redesigned with increased wall thickness.

When servicing this equipment, make sure you use reversing valves, expansion valves, filter-driers, and other components specifically designed for R-410A. In addition to increased wall thickness, the expansion valve flow area required to provide the same tonnage, as R-22 will be about 15% smaller. R-410A is a blend of two refrigerants. To achieve optimum performance, remove as a liquid from the cylinder.

Discharge pressure: + 50 to 70 %

Cooling capacity: +40%

Discharge temperature: -10°F

Energy efficiency: Units can be designed to meet the proposed DOE guidelines of 12 to 14 SEER.

Lubricant: POE

Get Your Checkbook! R-22 Will Get Expensive, Then You Will Be Forced To Replace Your Central Air Conditioning System.

Here Comes R-410A (Puron) and This Is a High Pressure,

High Temperature, Refrigerant. NONE OF YOUR PARTS WILL WORK!

YOU CANNOT RETROFIT.

The Equipment Will Have To Be REPLACED.

OH, AND ONE MORE THING, TECHNICIANS WILL HAVE TO BUY SPECIAL

High Pressure GAUGES, High Pressure RECOVERY UNITS,

High Pressure RECOVERY TANKS, AND THIS COST WILL BE RECOVERED BY CHARGING YOU MORE MONEY!
